Aloha Waikiki Surfboard Wall Illustration
Aloha Waikiki is a mixed media illustration on a 23.5" x 7.5" x .75" wooden surfboard.
In my vibrant and whimsical depiction of Waikiki, I aimed to capture the exuberant spirit of this iconic Diamond head landscape on a compact canvas - a 2-foot wooden surfboard. Through bold shapes and a playful palette, I sought to convey the sheer joy and energy that defines this tropical paradise. The wooden surfboard, with its natural texture and curvature, adds an organic dimension to the artwork, enhancing the viewer's connection to the oceanic essence that is Waikiki. This piece is an ode to the carefree spirit of surf culture and the vivacious charm of Waikiki.
Each surfboard is illustrated by Kiko Yamada and each one has been uniquely embellished with acrylic paint pens to accentuate and highlight the illustration as well as making each uniquely one different.
